Turn a long doc into a one-page Gamma summary

Paste an existing brief, spec, or report into Gamma and get back a single skimmable page instead of Gamma’s default instinct to spread it across a multi-card deck.

The prompt

Ready to copy — highlighted parts are example details you can swap.

Goal: Get a busy exec to approve the Q3 roadmap without reading the full 6-page spec.

Audience: The VP of Product, who has not read the underlying spec and has 3 minutes.

Content: [Paste the full Q3 roadmap spec here: goals, workstreams, timeline, risks, and resourcing.]

Tone: Direct and executive — lead with the decision needed, not the background.

Format: A single-page one-pager (Document format, one card/page only — do not split this into a multi-card deck). Headline, then a 2-3 sentence summary, then 3-5 subheaded sections with short bullets pulled from the content above, ending in a clearly boxed "Next step" callout.

Why this works

Left unconstrained, Gamma’s Generate flow defaults toward Presentation-style pagination — one idea per card across many cards — because that is its most common use case. Naming Format as "Document, one card only" explicitly overrides that default. Pasting the full source as Content (not a pre-written summary) matters because Gamma condenses better than it infers: it needs the actual detail to choose what to cut, the same reason a human editor asks for the full draft rather than your summary of it. The Goal field is what tells it which details are load-bearing for this specific reader versus safe to drop.

What you get back

One scrollable page: a headline stating the ask, a 3-sentence summary, four subheaded sections (Workstreams, Timeline, Risks, Resourcing) each with 3-4 bullets pulled verbatim from the spec, and a bordered "Next step: approve by Friday" box at the bottom.
