1986 mother and daughter in a doorway

Use my uploaded photo, which has two people of different ages in it. Anchor each face to its counterpart by position — left stays left, right stays right. Do not merge, average, swap or blend the two identities. Keep each face exactly as it is — same features, skin tone and natural asymmetry. Age is part of identity here: keep each person's visible age exactly as it appears, and if the older person has grey hair, lines or folds, keep every one of them — do not rejuvenate, smooth or re-pigment, and do not narrow the age gap. A family resemblance may show, but the two faces must remain clearly distinct individuals, not two ages of one face. No slimming, lightening or beautifying on either. Change only hair length and grooming, clothes, jewellery, pose and surroundings. Put us in the doorway of an Indian house in 1986, morning: hair drawn back into a low bun with the grey fully retained on the older of us, a loose plait or soft curls with crown volume on the younger. Coordinated sarees in soft cream and pale blue, light cotton or silk worn simply with the pallu over one shoulder, small gold studs and thin bangles on both, a bindi on each and a thin chain, one of us resting a hand lightly on the other's shoulder or forearm. We stand in the open doorway, the older slightly ahead and the younger just behind and to one side, shoulders angled inward, both looking toward the camera with calm unforced expressions. Around us a painted wooden doorframe with a brass latch, a low threshold step, a small rangoli on the ground outside, a hanging toran and the dim interior of the house behind. Soft morning daylight from outside and slightly to the left is the only source: both faces gently and evenly lit, and the interior behind falling off quickly into deep shadow several stops darker, so we read bright against a dark doorway.
