1986 wedding groom in the baraat

Make me a groom in an Indian wedding procession at night in 1986: a cream raw-silk sherwani with a high mandarin collar and gold thread work over churidar, a pale turban with a fan-shaped pleated crest, and a sehra of hanging floral strings falling from the turban across my upper forehead but clearly above my eyebrows, not over my eyes. Thick marigold and rose garlands layered around my neck, hanging low and clear of my chin, and a stole over one shoulder. I am sitting upright on a white horse draped in red and gold embroidered cloth. Behind me, out of focus, relatives, a man carrying a tube-light frame, and a decorated gate.
